Buried History is committed to telling the stories of those interred in local cemeteries who helped shape a nation. Buried History pays particular attention to stories not often told or on the brink of being lost to time. Our education initiative is one way we can ensure future generations celebrate the history that surrounds us all.
Buried History is pleased to announce the creation of the Mike Durnerin Education Fund. This special fund honors Mike’s lifelong passion for history and his dedication to education.
The Education Fund will enable Buried History to bring characters to life in the classroom setting providing interactive lessons on El Dorado County history from the Gold Rush to the roaring twenties to the 70s and 80s.
Each character will come complete with study guides and lesson plans. These units can be delivered to eager students either live or via recorded presentations.
